Forget productivity, fix this first

Hey Freaking Nomads,
Can we talk about sleep for a second?
I feel like nobody talks enough about how weirdly hard it becomes when you live this lifestyle.
I still remember probably the worst night of sleep I’ve had in my life while nomading in Seville.
It was 2 am, in an Airbnb with paper-thin walls, bright streetlights shining through cheap curtains, and a mattress that felt more like a wooden plank.
At some point, I just gave up trying to sleep and started thinking how is this my life??
After moving around so much, I realized sleep as a nomad isn't something that just happens. It's something you intentionally build.
So lately, instead of obsessing over finding the perfect laptop stand or coworking space in a new destination, I've been obsessing over my sleep setup.
For me, a few small things changed everything:
A proper sleep mask. Not the flimsy airline kind but a comfortable one that actually blocks light
Good earplugs or white noise headphones for noisy places
And (slightly embarrassing to admit) bringing my own pillowcase when I travel because familiar smells make new places feel less “new” to my nervous system
Tiny things. Huge difference.
For me, good sleep isn't a luxury when you're building a business, freelancing, or working remotely. It's infrastructure!
I'm curious, what's one thing you swear by for better sleep on the road? Hit reply and let me know.
Irene

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a newsletter.
Yeah. That Arnold Schwarzenegger.
So do Codie Sanchez, Scott Galloway, Colin & Samir, Shaan Puri, and Jay Shetty. And none of them are doing it for fun. They're doing it because a list you own compounds in ways that social media never will.

🧑💻 The Nomad Resource of the Week
If you've been nomading for more than a year or two, you probably can't remember exactly where you were this time last year. Or which country that random weekend trip was in. Or the name of that hostel in Da Nang.
We get this a lot from readers: how do you actually keep track of everywhere you've been?
TravelTracker.me is a personal travel log that turns your trips into a visual map of everywhere you've been.
In simple terms, here's what you get:
Interactive world map of every country, city, national park, and UNESCO site you've visited
Trip journals with daily entries, photos, weather, and lodging details
Auto-generated stats on trips, countries, continents, and distance traveled
Shareable trip links to send to friends and family instead of 40 Instagram stories
Cross-platform, works on web, iOS, and Android
Privacy-first: no third-party trackers, no ad cookies, no data selling
It's built for people who actually travel, not for social feeds and follower counts. Just your travel history, mapped and measured, so you can look back at where you've been and plan where you're going next.
