The new year has barely begun, yet the digital nomad travel industry is already seeing a major shake-up. Hacker Paradise—one of the earliest pioneers in remote work retreats—officially partnered with Noma Collective, another established leader in the space.

The news was announced on December 22, 2024, via email to the Hacker Paradise community. In an exclusive joint statement to Freaking Nomads, Daniel Thompson, CEO of Noma Collective, and Bryan Stewart, CEO of Hacker Paradise, explained the driving force behind the merger:

“This partnership was inspired by our shared vision of creating more opportunities for our community to connect, explore, and grow. By merging, we can accelerate our ability to offer more resources, unique destinations, and enriching experiences.”

Stewart also highlighted the benefits this move brings to the table:

“Our community can look forward to more destinations, more tailored experiences, and a broader range of opportunities to explore the world. Noma Collective brings expertise in the B2B travel space—an area we saw great potential in and are now better positioned to tap into.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Thompson also revealed expanded offerings:

“We’ll be amplifying the number of destinations—up to 37 Editions—while rolling out meaningful upgrades like weekly yoga sessions, airport pickups, and regular community calls to help members network, share ideas, and find job opportunities.”

This consolidation occurs amid wider changes in the remote work travel market, including Remote Year’s recent closure, signaling both the sector’s challenges and potential.

Thompson remains optimistic:

“While it’s been a somewhat turbulent landscape, we believe this partnership—and the incredible support from our communities—shows remote work is here to stay.”

As of January 2025, Hacker Paradise trips are already listed on Noma Collective’s website, with further details available by contacting them at info@noma-collective.com.
