What makes a coworking space suitable for digital nomads?
There are literally 40,000+ coworking spaces open across the world right now. That’s a crazy number, and what’s even crazier is trying to figure out whether a particular coworking office is worth the time and money it takes to visit it as a digital nomad.
Plenty of spaces are designed for remote workers looking for convenience and routine. This is not the digital nomad way.
Sure, there’s some crossover when it comes to ergonomic furniture and spacious offices, but for us, there’s a whole new set of factors that come into making a coworking space digital nomad-friendly.
Offering activities and events is a huge plus for any coworking space as it gives digital nomads the chance to network, find friends, and get to know a new home/community. Location is also a major component for digital nomads as you probably don’t have access to a car and want to be nearby to cool places to eat and fun things to do.
Don’t forget to always double-check that a coworking space’s internet is fast and reliable. If not, you’ll be better off working from somewhere else using a good portable wifi or a reliable eSIM combined with your phone hotspot. That's our best advice!
